Rough DreamsStudio Visit | Adam Wallacavage
Notre sculpteur de chandeliers-poulpes favori, l’américain Adam Wallacavage, vit et travaille à Philadelphie où il possède un manoir victorien haut en couleurs. Évoquant à la fois un épisode de la Famille Addams, le Nautilus du Capitaine Nemo et un musée de sciences naturelles, la demeure de Wallacavage regorge d’objets insolites… Grand collectionneur d’animaux naturalisés et de bibelots liés à sa passion pour l’océan et les vieilles églises, l’artiste a donné à son intérieur une atmosphère au moins aussi baroque que ses créations.

Our favorite octopuses-chandeliers sculptor, the American Adam Wallacavage, lives and works in Philadelphia where he possesses an intriguing victorian brownstone. Evoking at the same time an episode of the Addams Family TV show, Captain Nemo’s Nautilus and a museum of natural sciences, the house of Wallacavage abounds in unusual objects … As a big collector of naturalized animals and curios connected to his passion for the ocean and the old churches, the artist gave to his inside an atmosphere at least as baroque as his creations.
